For some reason the telescreen in the living-room was in an unusual position. Basically, this was the most used thing in the room – the TV. So it seemed to us that either because it was very old or because of its excessive use, it most likely broke down. We did not pay attention to the problem at all. And should we?

Every evening my family gathered after dinner and we watched most of the TV shows that were broadcast from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. It was a very good time for us because we felt at home. But what was happening? As we watched TV, the channel changed suddenly, without anyone using the remote control, and switched to children’s shows. We looked at each other. We wondered what was going on, but we didn’t get a clue.

So a few weeks had passed. My mother decided to call technicians to check if there were any malfunctions in the TV, because at that time we did not have the financial means to buy a new one. But guess what? They found nothing. Absolutely nothing. There was not a single thing to say that was wrong. What was there then? Why did the telescreen continue to occupy different positions for several mornings in a row, or when we turned on the TV it was on a radically different channel, from which we turned it off the night before?

I think you already guess what comes next in the story. As we were sworn fans of the “Long Island Medium” series, we decided to switch to this option, strange as it may sound. My mother contacted the show’s team contacts. However, since Teresa Caputo is quite popular and sought after, we had to wait for her for a week. You know what a medium is, I guess? She never received this Christmas present, and saddened by the tragedy, her parents decided to move out and go far away. But the key is that her spirit was still in the house, and when we moved in with our TV, Daniela just got what she had always dreamed of. Poltergeists have supernatural abilities, which gave her the right to use the TV. She was not at home with evil intentions, she did not want to harm us at all. She just wanted to watch TV on a new telescreen. My mother’s heart pounded when she heard this. Teresa did another exorcist ritual and purified our house. So Daniela left calmly and peacefully, and we continued our evening tradition. I learned that not everything is as it seems!
